Brazil donates USD100.000 to help Mongolian children

On April 9, 2010, the people and Government of Brazil donated through UNICEF USD 100,000 to the people and Government of  Mongolia, as an act of solidarity. The main purpose of the donation is to help Mongolian children suffering the effects of the “dzud” - an extremely harsh winter. The contribution will be used by UNICEF Mongolia to buy food, nutritional supplements and fuel, among other urgently-needed goods, and to provide health care to the children who are most vulnerable at this moment, in close coordination with the Mongolian Government.

On April 26, at the invitation of the Mongolian Ambassador in Beijing, Mr. Tsedenjav Sukhbaatar, the Brazilian Ambassador in Ulaanbaatar, Mr. Clodoaldo Hugueney, attended a ceremony at the Embassy of Mongolia to formalize the donation.
